Water Storage or Water Purification?
There are advantages to doing both. One thing that should be pointed out, however, is that during an emergency it is often not a lack of water that is a problem, but rather a lack of drinkable water. HTI feels that the best way of coping with that difficulty is to have on hand the right filter or filters so that the muddy, dirty waters that might surround us can be made safe for consumption.
Part of the argument is that water is both bulky and heavy. One U.S. gallon of water weighs more than eight and a half pounds. Transporting enough water to serve a family over a period of several days could then provide some difficulties. Transporting the right water purification devices might not.
