Can That Order Be Cancelled? If a Backorder Simply Does Not Work For You, Do Not Hesitate to Ask for a Refund It is not always possible to wait for an item that is out of stock, especially if the wait entailed is going to be for more than just a few days. Or, if you can wait, you may feel uncomfortable with a charge having been entered on your credit card with no product to yet show for it. In either case, a request for an order cancellation will quickly be honored. When ordering from Store-It Foods all transactions are normally handled by PayPal, one of the most secure methods of making your on-line purchases. Whether you used an actual PayPal account or used your credit card, a refund, if needed, will be issued using that same PayPal account or that same credit card. It is that simple and it is that easy. Wishing to Reorder Later - A Cautionary Tale Should you wish to later reorder, that too is possible. Please be aware, however, that because shipments are made "factory direct" and not from our own warehouse, Store-It Foods is not in a position to set merchandise aside to await that reorder. In other words, your position in the line will have been lost. Consider the case of one frustrated customer who cancelled his order due to the wait that was entailed. He did so, however, with a request that emailed notification be provided once the merchandise became available. He had been waiting for a little over a month. A week later the desired item did become available and the promised notification was provided. After backorders had been filled, only a few item remained, so priority email was used. Three days later, the decision was made to reorder. Sadly, the stock was once again gone, and another wait of another month confronted him. He was quick to express his dismay.
Ron's desire to lay the blame at the feet of Store-It Foods is understandable, but, sadly, in a case like this, there is little that can be done. Fortunately, when stock is replenished, it usually lasts for more than just a few days. As can be seen, though, that is not the case 100% of the time. |
