Add spice to your life!
Make great tasting Beef Jerky or Venison Jerky at Home! It's easy. All you need is a pound of lean, ground meat, a packet each of Nesco's American Harvest jerky spice and cure mixes, and a suitable dehydrator (recommended capability of drying foods at a temperature of 155º F.). You'll save money too. Each box of Jerky Spice Works contains six seasoning and six cure packets. That's enough to treat six pounds of meat, and enough to save you up to $40 in what you'd pay at the store for commercially produced jerky. Flavor choices include barbecue, cracked pepper and garlic, hot and spicy, teriyaki, and original flavor.
Quick and Easy Home Made Jerky:
Just combine 1 pound lean ground beef or ground venison with 1 packet each Nesco / American Harvest ® jerky spice and cure. (5 flavors to choose from)
Thoroughly mix meat, spice and cure together in a bowl. Form into strips using the NESCO / American Harvest ® Jerky Works™ Kit. Place meat strips on your Nesco / American Harvest ® dehydrator trays, and dry at its highest temperature setting (155º F.) for 5 to 8 hours, or until done.
